We will carpool back to the Peartree parking lot on Side road 15, just west of Highway 25 at Speyside and hike back. Bring a lunch and water. Moderate-4 with some rocky sections. Bike Ride to Lakeview Park All paved streets and trail Meet at 5:45 in the parking lot behind Northview Community Centre, or the library at the corner of Beatrice and Ritson leaves at 6:00.  Bike along quiet streets and then on to the bike path down to Lakeview Park. Return through quiet downtown streets of Oshawa, Michael Starr trail and old rail trial to return to Northview.  Ice cream at the Lake if time permits.

Hike at Ken Reid Conservation Area Meet at 10:00am in the main parking lot for the Ken Reid Conservation Area. Take Hwy#115 north, then exit to Hwy#35 north towards Lindsay, turn right (east) onto Ken Reid Rd. Follow for 2.7kms to first parking lot. Bring water, lunch and even your bathing suit and towel. 3 hour hike followed by a picnic and swim at the beach.

Hike The Ganaraska Hiking Trail  Wilderness Section, from Moore Falls to Devils Lake. 18 Challenging kms. Meet at Devils Lake parking lot at 9:00am and shuttle to the start of the hike at Moore Falls.  Peterborough people will meet at Portage Place Mall in front of Rexall Drugstore for a 7:30am departure (be there about 10 minutes earlier). Oshawa area people can meet in front of Value Village in the 5 Points Mall (S. E. corner of Taunton & Ritson Rd.) for a 7:00am departure 

Directions: Take Hwy 35 about 65kms north of Lindsay to Moore Falls, turn left on Deep Bay Rd and follow it for about 5kms to Devils Lake Rd, turn left and go ½ km to the parking lot. Bring a lunch, snacks and lots of water (2 litres or so) Good hiking boots or shoes are recommended

Star Gazing!  Our day begins with a hike at 1:00, followed by a pub stop.  Meet in Uxbridge behind the Walmart for 2- 2. 5 hr hike at 1:00 pm - led by Ken.  Pub is King Henry's Arms in Uxbridge at 4:30.  We will then carpool to the David  Dunlop Observatory in Richmond Hill for a "Star Talk" and a tour of the facility at 7:30 (must arrive by 7:00 p.m.).  Cost is $10.00 per person.  12 spots reserved, 4 of which are left.   Call Becky at 905 427-3603  (reservation can be increased if needed)

Area followed by lunch/opt. libations in town then a short hike on newly opened section of Trans Canada Trail in Lindsay. Meet at Ken Reid 10am.  Directions: Hwy. 35 N. to Lindsay then continue N. on Hwy. 35 to Ken Reid Rd., then W. a short distance to entrance of main parking lot. This is a joint hike with that intrepid Kawartha Club.
